Fluid Recovery Drink

I've used many...many different recovery drinks over the years. Ultragen, Endurox, EAS, Recoverite, Chocolate Milk, etc...None taste nearly as good as Fluid. That, would have to be this recovery drinks strongest point...It tastes flippin good.
Thats not to say it doesnt do its job, or that its a one trick pony....No, the founders of this drink mix did their homework.

Ingredients: Maltodextrin, crystaline fruit sugar, whey protein isolate, L-glutamine, natural tropical fruit flavor, citric acid, sodium citrate, soy lecithin, ascorbic acid, potassium chloride.
As you can see the list of ingredients is very small in comparision to other drink mixes. Theres not a lot of suger nor is there any corn syrup, which can cause your insulin to spike resulting in weight gain. So thats good, it wont make you fat, and its simple which translates into rapid absorbtion into the body (remember: 30 minute glycogen window), and it won't make your stomache upset. Also the simplicity of Fluid also means it IS gluten FREE. However it does have whey protein in it, so Vegans beware. Fluid's website also explains that all of the ingridients are supposed to work in 'synergy' to help you recover not only faster but also boosts your immune system, reduces headaches after workout and replenishes vital electrolytes lost in workout.
My experience:
I love Fluid, and I'm not just saying that. Fluid recommends 2 scoops for every 8-12 ounces of water. I use a 24 ounce bottle at home for my recovery drink so I doubled that. The drink does clump up if you mix it with cold water and shake it up and it does foam A LOT. I filled a quarter of the bottle with the four scoops in, and it foamed to the lid of the bottle. I found if you first add the mix, fill half the bottle up, and stir it doesnt foam and it will not clump. Once the mix is dissolved add ice and cold water and enjoy.
I also believe Fluid lives up to the testimonials and information on the website. It doesnt upset my somache, it is rapidly absorbed, and its cheap! At $29.99. A recovery drink, is a recovery drink. Most of them do their job with relative ease. The science behind them is not very complicated...We know what ingriedients work best to aid in muscle recovery and growth and we know what is lost during a workout. I think, that when a recovery drink tries to limit its side effects, and improve on taste and absorbtion into the body, that it becomes a 'better than the rest' mix. Fluid has definitly achieved that. www.livefluid.com
